! T'Keyah Fights City Hall !

...Not really, but just in case you still hadn't heard, I've started a new weekly or so blog that gives examples of on and off line activism and charitable works.    I hope it inspires you to be active as well! Please check it out and follow if you’re so inclined.   Feel free also to let me know about what your group is doing to fight city hall (so to speak), so I can help you spread the word.

West Coast Delta's First to Kiss and Tell

On January 30, 2011 the  Century City Alumnae (CCAC) and Tau Delta (LMU) Chapters of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority will host the West Coast Premiere of "Kiss and Tell," written and directed by Darryl Pitts and narrated by Sheryl Lee Ralph.  Hosts for the event will be CCAC International Service Project Committee (ISPC) members including the group's official Ambassador, T'Keyah Crystal Keymah and feature a Q & A with the filmmaker. Kiss and Tell is an uplifting documentary feature that highlights the positive images of Black Love on the Big Screen and takes an insightful, poignant and sometimes humorous look at Black Cinema from the actors, directors and producers that have been responsible for their creation.    Proceeds will benefit the ISPC sponsored AGYA  (http://amagezigemaanyi.blogspot.com/) Girls Scholarship Program, which provides funding to at-risk high school girls in Kampala, Uganda.  The event is already sold out, but you can catch Kiss and Tell at the Pan African Film Festival in Los  Angeles February 16-23, 2011.  You can support CCAC's International Service Project Committee, by sending a check to Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. (with 'Int'l Service Project Committee' or 'ISPC' in the memo) to Century City Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, P. O. Box 90956, Los Angeles, CA 90009
